About the Blue Suede Shoes band

The roots of the band go back to 2018, forming as a Rock & Roll band with Neil Rigby, Derek “Del” Johnson, John Grant and Chris Hinman, to entertain visitors from Ellerhoop, Germany on a twin town trip. After a successful gig we looked for more…

Since then, we’ve played summer festivals, fetes, pubs and clubs, often around the south coast of Kent and East Sussex.

The current line up is run by band leader Neil Rigby, an experienced musician from near Tunbridge Wells, after Del moved to Lincolnshire. You’ll find Neil playing his Rock & Roll numbers at various jams each week, usually with fellow member Steve Large.
